Predict how many Lemna minor plants the pond will contain after 31 days.

Suppose that a small backyard pond contains 25 Lemna minor plants, and the expected growth rate of the population is 1.0 x 102 plants per day. Predict how many Lemna minor plants the pond will contain after 31 days.

Since plants produced in a day = 1.0×10^2

=100 plants.

So after 31 days there will be a growth of 31×100 = 3100 plants

Now if initially there were 25 Lemma minor plants, total plants after 31 days will be = 3100+25 = 3125 plants.
