Title: How to diagram a plausible pathway for aerobic degradation for Tylenol compound?
Post by: mydream on Mar 9, 2017
Igor is scared of using potentially dangerous chemicals, so you suggest using Tylenol®, which is readily available, not toxic in small amounts, and should degrade fairly rapidly. The chemical structure is shown on the right. Help out Igor (and Rogi) by diagramming a plausible pathway for aerobic degradation for this compound. Be sure to note the class(es) of enzymes involved in each step. Just go as far as cleavage of the aromatic ring
