If a 92.1 ml sample of gas has a partial pressure of 755.03 mmHg at 23.00 Celsius, how many moles of gas are present

If a sample of gas contains 0.00388 mol of gas and has a mass of 0.23, what is the molar mass of the gas(g/mol)?

A sample of gas is collected over water at 21.0 Celsius and 0.97 atm.  If the vapor pressure of water at this temperature is 18.65 torr what is the pressure of the gas (in mmHg)?

...I need help, thanks!

moles of gas = 0.00386

mass = 0.236 g

moles = mass / molar mass

0.00386 = 0.236 / molar mass

molar mass = 61.1 g/mol

If a 92.1 ml sample of gas has a partial pressure of 755.03 mmHg at 23.00 Celsius, how many moles of gas are present

This is a similar problem with different values

volume = 93.2 ml = 0.0932 L

pressure = 757.71 mmHg = 0.997 atm

temperature = 23 + 273 = 296 K

P V = n R T

0.997 x 0.0932 = n x 0.0821 x 296

n = 0.00382

moles of gas = 0.00382 moles

pressure = 0.97 x 760 = 737.2 torr

water pressure = 18.65 torr

pressure of gas = 737.2 - 18.65 = 718.5 torr

pressure of gas = 718.5 mmHg
