Title: How do you find the concentration given molarity?
Post by: smooch92 on Feb 15, 2013
2Na3PO4 + 3 Mg(NO3)2 yields Mg3(PO4)2 + 6 NaNO3

Equal volumes of 0.10 M sodium phosphate and 0.10 M magnesium nitrate are mixed according to the balanced reaction equation above. When the reaction is complete, what is the concentration of sodium ions in the solution?

(the answer is .15M, i don't know how to get it)

thanks

Unless I am missing something, the correct answer should be 0.30M since the molar ratio is 3:1  (6:2)
