Also, is there a difference between hydrogen chloride and hydrogen monochloride?

Hydrogen chloride generally refers to the HCl (g)
Hydrochloric acid refers to HCl in solution

Otherwise, its just a difference in naming convention.

Hydrogen Monochoride is the molecule that makes up hydrochloric acid. In water we call it hydrochloric acid. Hydrogen monochloride or as it is often called, hydrogen chloride is a gas at room temperature and it is highly soluble in water. It is normally bubbled through water to make the acid. If breathed, it will make the acid in your mucuous membranes and lungs (any body parts with exposed H2O).

So, the only difference between the two is whether it is dissolved in water.

Hydrogen monochloride is a colorless, fuming, corrosive suffocating gas, HCl, used in the manufacture of plastics. and hydrochloric acid is a colorless or faintly yellow, corrosive, fuming liquid, HCl, used chiefly in chemical and industrial processes.

-Hope this helps And sorry if it's wrong!

Does hydrogen monochloride mean hydrogen chloride, or in 5.6 L of hydrogen, 5600 * 1.008 H  and
5600g * 35.5 Cl
