Title: How to find the derivative of this function?
Post by: rivetcolin on Feb 27, 2013
G(y) = (y-1)^5 / (y^2+2y)^6

I know you have to use the quotient rule and the chain rule, but, I keep on getting the wrong answer. I get lost while simplifying everything. All the help is greatly appreciated.

G'(y) = (5(y-1)^4(y^2+2y)^6-6(2y+2)(y^2+2y)^5)/(y^2+2y)^12
