Title: What is the distinction between primary xylem's function and secondary xylem's function?
Post by: IkemAnsari on Apr 4, 2013
What is the function of primary xylem?
What is the function of secondary xylem?
I know the general function of xylem: pathways for water conduction through tracheary elements. But what's the difference between the functions of primary xylem and secondary xylem? I think I'm looking for answer concerning vertical transport and horizontal transport (rays). So please, give me answers specific to my question.
