Ketones occur when your body is breaking down fats instead of carbohydrates for energy.

that's why Im confuse???? :-:) theres a lot of things that I can think off, like electrolyte imbalance right? the pH and metabolic and what about specific gravity? can all these affect the urinalysis when a person is in starvation

yeah the Q reads  " how might starvation affect the results of a urinalysis? indicate normal values that would be different and why they are changing."
