Title: Population genetics
Post by: colbster on Jul 16, 2013
In a rare souther lizard species, individuals with (aa) genotype do not live to reproductive age. The gene pool of the lizard population is affected because this allele (a)

A. produces new combinations
B. Increases genetic diversity
C. Favours migration
D. Decreases in frequency

Hope this helps.

Just some reasoning behind the answer (because I find it helpful): if the lizards can't survive to reproduce, then they aren't passing down their traits. Especially since its recessive thats a problem. And therefore the allele frequency decreases.
