The example of using RDT in drugs is the production of insulin, growth hormones etc.during this,DNA sequence of bacteria like E.coli is manupulated with the genes of humans producing insulin. This bacteria are then cultured to get large scale production. The human genes r not directly inserted but are first transfered to some vectors like plasmids,cosmids,pbr322etc.the example of transgenic food is pomato which is a combination of tomato & potato.
