Title: hungry bats eat 4 gms/hr. 70 % eat no more than 2.4 gms/hr. What's % rank of 2.4
Post by: gerald on Aug 1, 2013
I think 70% is a distractor. 2.4/4 x100 = 60. Is this correct

Which of the following is inferential statictis
% of full time students
# of students who passed last semester
overall enrollment increased over last 5 yrs
Are grades increased when teacher is experienced?

You want to calculate the 70% percentile? You'll need to use the formula for value rank:

Value rank = percentile(n+1)/100

Do you have the raw data? If you do, you need to put the numbers in order from least to greatest, locate the number at the value rank, and there you have it.
