Primary strucutre: is the sequence of a chain of amino acids that determine the 3D structure, it's linear polymer formed by linking alpha - carboxyl of amino acid to alpha - amino group of another, location of covalent linkages --> disulfide bonds between amino acids

Secondary structure is the sequence of amino acids linked by H - bonds, the poylypeptide chains fold into an alpha - helix and beta - pleated sheet formed by H - bonds between peptide, NH & C, it has areas of folding/coiling within the protein.

Tertiary is the certain attractions between alpha helix and beta sheets giving the final 3D structure,

Quaternary is has multiple polypeptide chains that make one protein
