B) There was no difference in the scriptures. C) The Christians used the Hebrew Bible as well as the Jews. They did not, however, accept the Talmud. D) The rabbis rejected the original holy writings in favor of the letters of Paul, where the Christians did not. E) The holy writings predating Christianity were considered most sacred to both Jew and Christian alike. The difference was with the writings of Jesus.
