Title: cancer and lymph node

don't know if this is the right section to post this in but if a breast cancer spreads to one of the lymph nodes is the individual screwed or does it  spread slow enough to catch/stop?

Once it spreads, it is fatal.

the doctors said it spread to the armpit area and they did surgery to take it out (the main mass) but they said it wasn't spread to the rest of the body. is this even possible (a local spread)? i thought once it spread, it spread to the rest of the body.

It's possible that it's in other areas two, expect that it's more localize in the armpit. They do the best they can by trying to remove wherever it has spread. Of course, if it spreads to more areas, they'd need to undergo chemotherapy.

if the cancer spreads everywhere else  ???  since chemotherapy is a systematic treatment, can chemo cure (rid) metastasized cancer cells?

By stopping all cells from replicating, in theory it might stop the cells from metastasizing, but if it's the type of cancer (malignant tumor) that spreads, the only thing that can actually cure the ordeal is if it is caught early enough to remove from the source.
