Some muscles no longer need to contract to bear the weight of the body, so they deteriorate from limited use. Describe the ion movement and charges in a motor neuron axon that stimulates a muscle to contract (an action potential) and compare it with the ion movement and charges in a motor neuron that is not stimulating a muscle to contract (a resting potential.)
