The results section should simply present the results e.g. tables, graphs, images. There should be a description of the results, e.g describe trends and patterns in the results, point out anomalies.

The results section should not attempt to explain why the results are how they are or what the reason for the trends and patterns. This should be covered in the next section (for example titled 'discussion' - where you discuss the results and address the 'whys').
