Do you feel it is better to allow individuals the freedom to choose any type of  (or no) health insurance coverage available to them or to increase government involvement in a person’s/family’s healthcare via mandates, such as the ACA and/or the government as a single insurer for all residents.  Why?

Hi Paula4205

Personally, I feel it's best to allow the person to choose freely without government involvement. Governments usually get ripped off when things like this are mandated or governed by the rule of law because health care providers will charge more if they sense desperation. When this service is privatized, companies become more competitive and lower the price to remain competitive. In other words, they become less greedy and at the same time better their services. This will force health insurance seekers to find the best rate and deal throughout the country. Furthermore, if the government is not responsible for every citizen's health insurance, there's less government spending and lower taxes.
