Feedback:
A new medication, restraints, or postsurgical mobility problems are the most common reasons for iatrogenic incontinence. True or total incontinence is defined as urinary leakage that is nearly continuous. Stress incontinence is urinary leakage following a sudden increase in intra-abdominal pressure (e.g., coughing, sneezing, or other physical strain). With urge incontinence, the client experiences urgency before voiding caused by bladder spasm.
