A
Potassium-depleting diuretics may cause potassium deficiency, especially if used in combination with laxatives that can also cause potassium loss. Decongestants, antihistamines, beta blockers, cholesterol-lowering drugs, antacids, and nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs do not have a sig-nificant effect on potassium status.
