Why does wave height increase in shallow water?

  a) The wave loses energy.
  b) Wave orbital motion is constricted by the sea bottom.
  c) Offshore winds blow the water higher.
  d) The waves tilt because the top gets ahead of the bottom.
  e) Waves move water toward the shore where it bunches up.
