A
A. When a client is performing peritoneal dialysis in the home, client must wear mask.
B. One major advantage of CAPD is that it allows the client to be out of the hospital, maintain the system at home, and continue with daily activities.
C. Dialysate is warmed.
D. Dwell time for CAPD is 3 to 5 hours. (CAPD client folds tubing and infusion bag on abdomen, which is concealed by clothing, and uses same bag and tubing for drain cycle.)
