Lateral medullary syndrome is characterized by
 
  a. Horner's syndrome, loss of pain and temperature over ipsilateral face and contralateral body, and disturbances in equilibrium sense
  b. Paralysis of ipsilateral tongue and weakness of contralateral body
  c. Coma and death
  d. Oculomotor ophthalmoplegia and weakness of the contralateral body
