A call is ringing on another line; the medical assistant should
 
 ask the first caller if she can hold. If yes, answer the second line, ask him if he can hold. If yes, return to the first caller
  put the first caller on hold, answer the ringing line, and say, Please hold, then return to the first caller
  yell to the back office for someone to answer the phone
  allow the line to ring until the first call is completed
