A teenage girl with a known history of bipolar disorder has been taking Lithium for a year. The doctor has ordered that the teen start taking Haloperidol because of increased irrational behavior. The nurse should:
 
  1. Educate the teen on the side effects of Haloperidol.
   2. Ask the doctor to clarify the order because Haloperidol in contraindicated when taking lithium.
   3. Give the medications at bedtime.
   4. Verify the order with another staff nurse to make sure that the dosage for the Haloperidol and Lithium are in a therapeutic range.
