Drink some water first, I also suggest that you take a trip outside and get some fresh air, that usually clears up your sinuses and may potentially prevent the nosebleed from continuing any longer.  Nose bleeds can often be caused by steam from long showers so I do not suggest that you take one of those at this moment.  In short, drink some water, get some fresh air, take a deep breath and lay down.  Hopefully you feel better shortly, best of luck to you friend.
