To evaluate a website, it is important to look at several variables such as who created it and for what purpose. For example, it will be important to know the background and credentials of the creator of the website. The About Us section can often provide information about why the website was created. It's important to see if a balanced perspective is presented or if there is bias and a one-sided approach is highlighted. Sites with references to sources of information are more credible than those without them. Another great way to determine credibility is to look for consistency between the information presented on this site and what you find from other sources. Some types of sites such as .edu or .gov may be more credible than others such as .com.
