Modern technology is highly related to the need for workers, and it is debated whether technology has reduced or increased the need for skilled workers. It was originally thought that the use of machines would displace the original skilled workers since all they would need only to pull a lever or push a button. However, technology has not removed the need for skilled laborers, the skills needed have just become different. Yes, routine jobs have decreased as the capability of machines has grown, but the need for skilled workers such as engineers, construction workers, machinists, mechanics,
administrators, advertisers, and accountants has grown.
