Helper T-cell: A type of lymphocyte that assists in the activation and function of B cells and cytotoxic T cells.

Killer T-cell: A type of leukocyte that is part of the body's nonspecific defences because it recognizes general features on the surface of cancer cells or any virus-infected cells.

Activated T-cells: Are T cells that are activated by a B-cell or macrophage via the interaction between TCRs and MHC II or I.

B-Cell: A type of lymphocyte responsible for specific immunity. The lymphocytes that complete their development in the bone marrow and become
effector cells for the humoral immune response.

Memory B-cell: One of a clone of long-lived lymphocytes, formed during the primary immune response, that remains in a lymphoid organ until activated by exposure to the same antigcn that triggcred its formation. Activated memory cells mount the secondary immune response. In other words, they are the cells that retains information about the geometry of an antigen or antigens.

Plasma B-cell: The antibody-secreting effector cell of humoral immunity; arises from antigen-stimulated B cells.

Carbonic anhydrase Enzyme: The enzyme that converts most CO2 + water into carbonic acid (H2C03) in the red blood cells.

Oxygen Dissociation Curve: The oxygen dissociation curve is a graph that shows the percent saturation of hemoglobin at various partial pressures of oxygen.

Complete Dominant: A kind of dominance wherein the dominant gene completely masks the effect of the recessive gene in heterozygous condition.

Codominance: The situation in which the phenotypes of both alleles are exhibited in the heterozygote because both alleles affect the phenotype in separate, distinguishable ways.
