Why is it difficult to study the evolution of spoken language in humans and their ancestors?
 
  a. Not enough fossils have been recovered.
  b. Language is spoken primarily through soft tissue, which does not fossilize.
  c. No endocasts of early hominins exist making it impossible to study language and the brain.
  d. Geneticists have been unable to identify genes in ancient DNA related to language in hominins.
