If a person is not feeling distressed, then there is usually no reason to change. What
could be affecting a person's lack of distress?

  a. They do not find what they are doing to be a problem and/or psychological
defenses are keeping the person from being more aware of the difficulties
  they are facing
  b. They do not want to put forth the work it would take to help their problem so
they decide to not be distressed about it
  c. They seem to be overburdened and overworked and do not have the time to
focus on how the problem is affecting them
  d. They want things to stay the same so that their daily routines feel familiar
