  a. Ensure analgesia is constant.
  b. Maintain consistent hypovolemia.
  c. Ensure correct suture lines.

There are five main objectives to be obtained while maintaining general anesthesia. Those five objectives are (1) constantly monitoring oxygenation, (2) maintaining unconsciousness, (3) ensuring analgesia is constant, (4) controlling muscle relaxation, and (5) maintaining autonomic reflexes. The goals of the anesthesia provider are to maintain the lightest level of anesthesia in the brain while making sure the objectives are met.
