Physics - Electric Potential (Capacitors)
The square plates of a 3000-pF parallel-plate capacitor measure 40 mm by 40 mm and are
separated by a dielectric that is 0.29 mm thick and completely fills the region between the plates. What is the dielectric constant of the dielectric? (Note: Could someone please show me the steps to solving this Problem and not just the answer? Thanks!!)

Well, we hate to keep threads unanswered:
Area of square plates
A=S2=(40*10-3)2=1.6*10-3 m2
Capacitance
C=KeoA/d
Dielectric constant
=>K=C*d/eoA =(3000*10-12)(0.29*10-3)/(8.85*10-12)(1.6*10-3)
K=61
