Graph one complete cycle for the following function.

y=-3 sin(2x- π/3)

Calculate the period and phase-shift, and find the coordinates of the y-intercept, starting and end point of the cycle. Label your graph’s amplitude, period, quadrants, and the wave with (solid) and without (dashed) the phase-shift.

You'll need to find a few things before you can start graphing:

-3 represents the amplitude when you take its absolute value, which is positive 3.

Notice there's no "d" value being added or subtracted, so the wave will be symmetrical along the x-axis.

The period can be found by taking the coefficient of x, which is 2 then taking 2*pi / 2 because in 1 cycle of sin(x) is between 0 and 2*pi.

To find your phase shift, you take -π/3 and divide it by your "b" coefficient, which is 2.
