Answer to q. 1

The diagram and its labels should resemble Fig. 41-2 on textbook p. 862. The functions are as follows:
 dendrites: receive stimuli and generates a neural impulse
 cell body: receives signal form the dendrites
 axon: conducts neural impulses (perhaps via branches called axon collaterals) away from the cell
body
 Schwann cells: form a myelin sheath that insulates axons
 nodes of Ranvier: gaps between Schwann cells
 synaptic terminals: release neurotransmitters into the synaptic cleft
