In a car race, the driver who came first was disqualified over a technicality, and the driver who came second was announced as the winner.

The newspaper covering the story wanted to the readers to understand the true reason behind the defeat of the winning driver rather than taking the results at face value. What kind of a summary should the newspaper go with for this story and why?

  a) Analytical summary as the newspaper wanted to emphasize the how or why of the story rather than the who, what, when, or where

  b) Informational summary as the complete and correct information presented would automatically lead the readers to the correct conclusion

  c) Provocative summary as the newspaper wanted the readers to be interested in the story and this way it could catch their attention

  d) Straight summary as coming straight to the reason behind the race results would help clear any confusion about them in the reader's mind
