Hi!!

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what are some similarities of Calcium ions acting as second messengers in fertilized eggs and in neurons as they are excreting neurotransmitters.  My textbook posed this concept, and I am having trouble connecting the dots by myself...I do better on exams if I overstudy, and this would really help me out if someone knew this from the top of their head.  I don't necessarily mind straight from the textbook answers, either.
