Given that \(\cot \left(\frac{2\pi }{7}\right)=\tan z\ \), first express \(\frac{2\pi }{7}\) as a difference between \(\frac{\pi }{2}\) and an angle, and then apply a cofunction identity to determine the measure of angle \(z\).

we're given cot(2pi/7)

also, the cofunction identity is:

cot ( pi/2 - z ) = tan z

so

pi /2 - z = 2pi/7

solve for z, you get 3pi/14
