\(\log _4\left(x+2\right)+\log _4(x-3)=2\)

\(\log _4\left[\left(x+2\right)(x-3)\right]=2\)

\(\left(x+2\right)(x-3)=16\)

\(\left(x+2\right)(x-3)-16=0\)

\(x^2-x-22=0\)

\(x_1=-4.2\ \ \ \ \ \ x_2=5.2\)

Only 5.2 is correct because -4.2 is outside the range of a log function.
