Referring to following image, I would like to know on whether 1 or 2 joint are strong and reduce noise due to movement for bed frame.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Interesting question.

From my experience, the fewer joints and the tighter the joints the less noise they make for the frame itself. The headboard needs to be attached very tightly and the thicker that joint is the better. From your picture, it's hard to determine what type of joint is being used. For example, if your headboard is attached by two screws, it will sound horribly. Having a headboard that mounts to the wall instead of the frame minimizes the movement being transferred and keeps things quiet too. Furthermore, I'd focus on buying a mattress that's foam-based -- squeaking can result from faulty mattresses too.

I would like to know on which design offer a tighter joint based on physical viewpoint.
The design 2 's connected surface area for supporting bed frame is larger than design 1, is design 2 better than design 1?

Do you have any suggestions?
Thank you very much for any suggestions (^v^)

If surface area is what you're after, the more surface area covered between the joint, the sturdier the design.

Please provide a better visual if possible. Hard to discuss the matter with a single picture.

first < second

The second design is superior to the first, most likely due to surface area and contact in the joints.

By the way, I had to download the app to watch the videos, there was no other way around it

Wow, excellent choice. So sturdy!

The frame for mine in made of wood, it squeaks under pressure. Make sure to get a foam-based mattress. The sell one at IKEA that's really good.
