 Answer should include use Kelly's own experiences with items in her environment (e.g., pizza, pies, etc.), fraction flip charts, self-monitoring sheets, etc. The most effective techniques include concrete and visual representations; explicit, systematic instruction; a range and sequence of examples; cognition strategies providing steps to problem solution; and the use of real-world problems.
