I believe medical Marijuana, given the research, can positively impact members of society dealing with depression, pain, and similar health conditions. I think it has the potential to reduce the use of popular pain killers like opiods, thereby lessening the chances of someone becoming addicted. Furthermore, it decreases the need for a black market, where people need to seek the substance illegally or sell it for a profit. Oftentimes these people end up getting caught, which leads to substantial jail time.
