1. Do you believe that all Americans should have the right to medical care when they need it? Explain your response.

2. How much does an MRI cost at medical facilities within 20 miles of you? Most of us have no idea, which is why transparency in costs is so important to lower healthcare expenses. Check out the article below and share your thoughts on this or other ideas to reduce healthcare costs.

You could say:

Yes, although it is more expensive and prices have risen in the last few decades, medical care helps save lives of individuals and can help individuals from distinct circumstances. If an individual from a low income family can’t afford medical care that doesn’t make him less human or less important than a rich person who can pay for it.

Generally, more competition leads to fairer prices nationwide. If you could purchase a healthcare plan from across different states, a person living in one state wouldn't be obligated to purchase healthcare only within his/her state. Now, because of currently government regulations, a healthcare insurance company based in New York could overcharge his/her potential clients if that company is a monopoly in that state, but if there's a company in New Jersey that's offering it for far less, the company based in New York would likely lessen its fees. Therefore, the law needs to be changed to allow out-of-state purchases of health insurance.
