given: 260g of ice at 0oC
heat of fusion = 334 J/g

need: joules to melt ice at 0oC

1 g of H2O (s -->l) = 334J

260 g H2O x  (334J/ 1 g H2O) = 86 800J or 8.68 x 104 J


2) Answer: 12Kcal
