To save on production costs, most automobile bumpers are never coated with more than 150 g of chromium. Determine how much time a standard bumper should be immersed in a chromium vat. Give your answer to the nearest whole second.

Recall that the power supply used in commercial electroplating provides each vat with approximately 1.50 x 103 A of current.

Remember, 1 ampere is the same as 1 C / S.

We have 1.50 x 103 A which the same as 1.50 x 103 C / S

Chromium ions have a charge of 3+

Cr3+ + 3e- > Ce



Try our tutorial to get a sense of what to do. I have an inkling, but I'm not 100% sure. If you can't figure it out, message me back, I'll ask my spouse who's a chemical engineer
