How does Krispy Kreme make it's donuts so soft on the inside? I know the use shortening vegetable oils, I have tried it but my donuts as not soft as them? Any suggestion? Thanks

It's assume it's some sort of enzyme found in the dough that activates from the heat of your mouth. The enzyme degrades the fibers in the wheat to make them easier to swallow/chew.
