There will be positive derivative on:

[-∞, -2.5)
(0, ∞]

Negative derivatives on:

(-2.5, 0)

I hope this helps. Oh, and by the way, at the vertices, the tangent is horizontal, so the derivatives are ZERO. This is why I used ( and ) instead of [ and ] in those situations.
