Women were largely concerned with issues of work and suffrage. This guide is brief, but the answers can certainly be explained more fully. They were successful at having more safety and labor regulations. Women also saw a boom in working due to WWI and the need for labor. Women remained unequal to men in pay and status. They struggled to unionize and constantly had negotiate working vs the belief that a women's role was to reproduce. Women did gain the right to vote. They alienated others at times and this struggle took many, many years. Women did not gain political power in many ways, but were influential. Again, the struggle for the most part left America as a patriarchal society prevailing.
