Suggested Responses: Students should discuss the importance of appreciating oral language differences - including discourse styles and body language - and advocate using an additive approach in the language curriculum. They should propose that a variety of expressive media be included in the writing curriculum - especially storytelling. They should propose that a range of reading materials - not just picture books - be available in the classroom.
