You learn that a child in you classroom does NOT have picture books in his home. What should you do as a teacher?

▸ Provide the child with non-literature reading material in the classroom to match what is in the home.

▸ Provide his family with children's literature and teach his parents specific booksharing techniques.

▸ Systematically introduce him to specific reading skills which have already been acquired by children who have been read to in the home.

▸ Provide the child with high quality children's literature in the classroom.
