I checked it up online. It's a cool sport, but I think its limitation is that it isn't popular world-wide, only in South Asia, unfortunately. Hence, it couldn't be an olympic sport because India would always win Gold, Silver, and Bronze! Grinning Face with Smiling Eyes

Kabbadi game can be made a world wide popular game?

That depends on several factors.

1. Time: One reason and the most important, is the time the game asks its viewers to devote. How long do Kabbadi games last?

2. Team Games: Team games tend to be generally more popular than individual games. The reason, I feel, is that team games tend to be more competitive. You have individual talents to look forward to, and then there are groups who unite as a team despite being low on individual talents to bring the best out of them. Is Kabbadi a team game?

3. Outdoor/Indoor: You can't compare games like table tennis/badminton/squash to cricket/football/hockey/tennis on the same scale. Outdoor games will always tend to be more popular than their indoor counterparts. Can Kabbadi be played outdoor?

4. Regional Popularity: Sports do tend to have a regional popularity. Cricket, despite being so popular, has only nine test playing nations and around 20 nations who play serious cricket. Football is hugely popular in Europe and South America. It isn't the choice in Asia. Kabbadi is only popular in India.

5. Layman's Game: Cricket, football, hockey are a layman's game. Games like golf are more a thing of the elite. Who does Kabbadi cater to most?

6. Sports' Committees: The way the Sports' committees are taking their game forward is another factor. International Federations tend to be doing a great job in popularizing their respective sports. ICC, for example, is doing it with cricket in countries like China where cricket is hugely unpopular. Does Kabbadi have any committees?
